A Chicago-based health care services company is enjoying a period of rapid growth and change. The company’s management team partnered with Rightsize Facility to PLAN and FURNISH its new office in downtown – making sure to keep expansion, flexibility, and fun in mind in the process.

Set in a building with attractive employee-friendly amenities, the client’s 16,000-square-foot space is located in a vibrant neighborhood close to public transportation, restaurants and shops. The company has approximately 80 employees, but it expects to keep hiring over the next few years.

“The client chose a spacious office and signed a seven-year lease to make sure they had room to grow,” said Jessica McCambridge, Workplace Solutions Director/Chicago Team Leader at Rightsize. “We helped design the layout and select adaptable furniture to maximize the space; they have the option to add around 24 more seats.”

It was important to the client to create a fun and flexible workspace that would attract young talent. Health and fitness are core to the company’s mission, so Rightsize looked for ways to incorporate wellness into the office’s features. Rightsize outfitted the open-plan work area with sleek Friant My-Hite tables and Knoll Life task chairs. The tables have sit-to-stand functionality, and can be easily configured to meet changing space needs.

“It was a priority to convey a warm, friendly company culture, so we made sure to build that into the different spaces,” said McCambridge. “There’s an open break room for relaxing and socializing. And we added fun gaming spaces for ping-pong and floor hockey to promote team building."

Rightsize also included bright break-out areas for private calls and small-group collaboration, and modern meeting rooms furnished with OFC Modin II conference chairs and Watson Miro conference tables.

“The client’s new office reflects their vision and values,” said McCambridge. “It’s a beautiful space that encourages camaraderie and well-being among employees. And it will evolve with them as they continue to grow.”
