It's amazing what natural light can do to improve an office space. After working with Rightsize Facility on their previous workspace, an outdoor retail company located in Illinois reconnected with us in late 2017 when they were looking to PLAN and FURNISH a larger 28-seat office space that features windows along its entire perimeter.
This value-conscious customer saw our recent customer testimonial video featuring the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce and was very impressed with how the refurbished Herman Miller Ethospace looked in the footage of the Rightsize Facility Naperville office, so much so that they requested we match the same furniture for their office!
"They loved what they saw and said 'let’s do that for our office,'" said Ashley Strubel, Workplace Solutions Manager, Rightsize Facility.
The customer wanted the new office to impress clients as well as internal staff. "Everyone likes that there is a lot of natural light and it feels much more fun and inviting than their previous office, which lacked natural light. They want to inspire new hires to stay on with an improved workspace. The new office is also a great way to showcase who they are to customers when they are coming in and evaluating if they want to work with this company or not," Strubel said.
Challenges for the project included a room with unusual angles, which Rightsize solved by customizing some of the refurbished workstations.
"We were able to customize the workstations so they could fit and utilize the space to its maximum potential. The perimeter is all windows and we wanted to maximize the natural light, so we utilized lower height walls and glass panels with the workstations to allow light to come through," Strubel said.
