As part of the "Creative Office" summit, hosted by Bisnow Chicago, Rightsize CEO Mason Awtry was asked to participate in a panel discussing how new companies are setting up shop. In a lively discussion that kicked off the event, Awtry encouraged businesses to focus on a design layout that works best for their own success productivity, rather than just following the open-office trend.
"The open office layout is great for some really collaborative businesses," Awtry said. "But if it is impacting productivity or doesn't make sense for your businesses, it is always the better option to do what works for your company culture."
The conversation was inspired by the evolution in office space design that is trending away from traditional layouts, impacting commercial real estate firms, financial institutions and even law firms. Industry professionals showed up to discuss how open-office technology was impacting the leasing sector, as well as workplace design and construction.
Rightsize, a Bisnow sponsor, provided furniture and seating for the event held on the 39th floor of 55 E. Monroe. More than 500 representatives from all corners of the commercial real estate world attended the event to enjoy the panel discussion, the lake views and the breakfast.
