3 tips from the experts on how to make your office space shine.
There is a reason why some office spaces have that extra bit of swagger that make you think that the business is doing something right. From a welcoming entryway, to conference room that gives off a cool vibe, there are simple tricks to make a space look amazing, without having to bring in an uber high-end interior designer. Rightsize Account Manager, Aryn Shaw, shared her three top tips for making an office space shine and it all comes down to three easy points: focus area, artwork and branding.
To start, if working on a limited budget, focus on the reception area and conference room aesthetic. By adding a colorful wall covering, artwork and signage in the reception and conference room areas, guests—and employees—will instantly be blown away. By tackling these two areas of the office space, the vibe will be set so it doesn’t necessarily have to carry to the rest of the office space—although you might be inspired to try. Consider adding a colorful wall covering or a branded entryway wall. Both guests and employees will be greeted when they walk in by an easily implemented design that represents your brand.Artwork adds that air of sophistication while incorporating something colorful or eye catching into the design schematic. “A space always feels more finished with artwork,” says Shaw. But art doesn’t have to be limited to stiff still life oil paintings. You can incorporate sculptures or a word wall with core company values to inspire employees. Blowing up large photos of employees in action can add a really cool element of well-branded design.
But at the end of the day, it all comes down to branding. Top off the space with signage for your business. “It finishes off the space to do a company logo or sign,” says Shaw. The small personal touches that cater to what message the brand is trying to send will make a much larger statement.
