How to avoid being “THAT” guy in the office

Manners in the workplace are vitally important, especially in today’s growing population of open offices; however, we still see and hear co-workers doing things that drive us absolutely insane. In order to make the workplace productive, happy and inviting, we decided it was necessary to lay down the law and list out the biggest workplace pet peeves, so you can avoid being “that” guy or gal everyone is whispering about.

This can most likely go without any explanation, but in short, anything heated up often increases the smell to a larger square-footage of reach. All of these common area mistakes are ones to be mindful about and avoid making.

#4 Personal care at their desk

Another big “no-no” is managing personal hygiene at your desk. Clipping your toenails is a biggie. Not only is it unpleasant to watch, but it’s also unfathomably distracting to listen to. Things along these lines are meant to stay at home.

#5 Poor time management

Most working adults are short on time and they don’t have the patience to deal with prolonged meetings or excessive emailing. Think twice when you reply-all and value other people’s time when calling them to a conference room. 

The workplace is meant to be an enjoyable, empowering, and productive place. Avoid making these mistakes when going through your day-to-day at the office—otherwise, you could end up being THAT guy.
