Tell us about your job in your own words: As a designer, I work with clients and Account Managers to find creative solutions for office environments, particularly in the layouts of workstations. I make sure that form and function meet happily in an office that is both attractive and efficient.
What is the best part of your job? After spending countless hours pouring over AutoCAD drawings and making many revisions, it never gets old seeing the product I spent months designing installed and in person. It’s one of the coolest things ever.
What is one way you have made a difference at Rightsize? It’s not very exciting, but I helped create a few forms that we use. But I think my biggest difference maker is probably the laugh-until-I-cry-and-snort moments that help lighten the days. I also like to think that I’m someone that others can come to with questions, and that I can (most of the time) provide an answer.
What’s one thing that your coworkers would be surprised to know about you? I originally went to school to become an engineer! I was pretty good at it too, if I do say so myself. But after the world’s most boring internship, I craved a creative outlet. Being a designer here allows me both the technical and create outlets that make me thrive.
If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be? Optimistic
What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work? Read! I’m a pretty intense bookworm. I love nothing more than sitting in a cozy chair at home in front of the fireplace with a good book.
