While in the process of a rebranding initiative, the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce (NACC) partnered with Rightsize to refresh the look and layout of its office. The chamber works to promote economic growth and fosters positive change in the region—it currently has an active membership of 1,200 organizations within its local area.
Rightsize is a member business, and collaboration on this project was an ideal opportunity to support NACC in its goals of driving new membership initiatives, and attracting valuable new talent to its team. The client visited a local showroom to explore Rightsize’s wide selection of furniture options from the firm’s various contract furniture partners. Rightsize’s workplace solutions experts also toured the chamber’s office and met with the staff to assess business and departmental needs before making recommendations.
“Our team worked closely with the client to deliver PLAN and FURNISH solutions to brighten and modernize the space,” said Lynn Patterson, Workplace Solutions Manager. “Leveraging our innovative CoCreate space planning methodology, we were able to provide real-time visuals to show how the office would look after completion. The client was very excited to see the intended plans for the space come to life, and was able to use this to get buy-in from all their team members.”
Before the rebranding initiative, the 5,800-square-foot office housed workstations in heavy, bulky wood that blocked natural light and made the space feel cramped and outdated. Rightsize replaced them with refurbished Herman Miller Ethospace workstations in a white finish, creating an airy, open workspace that transformed the environment. The reception area was installed with a coordinating Herman Miller Ethospace desk in the same finish as the workstations.
To provide a more collaborative working environment, Rightsize converted a private office into a collaboration station, equipped with a conference table and chairs, which created a perfect gathering spot for employees. Chamber staff will also utilize this space to meet with current and prospective chamber members.
“Our partnership with Rightsize was key in creating an environment for our team that encourages collaboration and creativity,” said Nicki Anderson, President & CEO of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. “Rightsize is a steadfast Member and they too know the value of business partnerships that contribute to a strong business environment. We are fortunate to have such great Members that not only give back to our organization, but also to the community.”
“They were thrilled at the light and the overall brightness of the space,” said Patterson. “The renovation also gave their team a chance to clean house, decluttering and getting a fresh start.”
The renovated office reflects NACC’s role as a forward-thinking economic leader. It allows for collaboration and innovation, two important values of the chamber.
