Rightsize Facility Performance Acquires i4design Procurement Services
i4design’s Mitchell Obstfeld to Join Firm as A&D Specialist
CHICAGO, IL (December 8, 2015) – Today Rightsize Facility Performance (Rightsize) announced it has acquired i4design Procurement Services. The firm’s well-respected founder, Mitchell Obstfeld, who is also chairman of the board of trustees at Harrington College of Design, will join Rightsize as an A&D Specialist, announced President Mason Awtry.
i4design Procurement Services provides hospitality and FF&E services from more than 25 countries worldwide to the architect and interior design community including art acquisition services, where clients can choose from a robust library of more than 300 artists and 10,000 images curated by Obstfeld.
“Mitch is a titan of the industry. He has created an enormously successful company committed to providing turnkey furnish and procurement services,” said Awtry. “With his vast network, he provides us with an excellent opportunity to expand our reach to the A&D market.”
Obstfeld, whose roots in the architecture and design business run deep, also founded i4design Media International where he published i4design, an award-winning business-to-business magazine and website for architects and designers.
“I am very much looking forward to working with the entire Rightsize team to help grow the business,” said Obstfeld.
Rightsize has long targeted and served the office, healthcare and education industries. With the addition of hospitality and art acquisition and placement, the firm’s scope of services almost doubles as Rightsize now has the ability to spec, bid, procure and install art and architectural piece for clients. It is all part of a larger strategic plan for growth Awtry put in place at the beginning of 2015.
“Our goal has always been to deliver “Best in Class” design/furnish services to a wide variety of clients across the U.S.,” added Awtry. “This is just one more piece of the puzzle.”
It has been a busy year for Rightsize on the expansion front with both the Milwaukee and Detroit markets being launched in 2015. Several additional markets have already been targeted for expansion in 2016.
